When my country was broken

On 14 of August 1947 Pakistan came into being as the largest Muslim country in the world with two different geographical parts East Pakistan and West Pakistan located 1000 miles apart from each other and the enemy India in between.A country which never really accepted the creation of Pakistan.Pakistan was founded in the name of Islam this was the only common thing amongst the Muslims of Indian sub-continent whom supported creation of new state. The Two nation theory was derived from Islamic belief of Muslim Ummah void of ethnic, linguistic, regional nationalism. There was nothing common and no binding force amongst the people of East and West Pakistan which made them one Nation except Islam, two different regions, different language, different race and different culture. So obviously in this scenario the only thing which could have prevented discrimination, prejudice and ultimately the dis-integration was Islam. But to Pakistan's misery Qauid e Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah who lead Pakistan movement passed away one year after creation of the country,Liaquat Ali Khan the 1st Prime Minister who passed Objective resolution was assassinated 3 years later, After his assassination the military establishment which was dominantly from west Pakistan took over the country.Military did not have the right to rule the country in the first place and it added insult to injury by practically subjugating Islam to Mosques rather than implementing objectives resolution and making Pakistan an Islamic state which was the purpose of its creation . Thus the greed, racism, bigotry increased day by day because the common bond of Islam was negated. In 1958 the secular dictator Ayub Khan imposed Martial law which was endorsed by the notoriously secular chief Justice Munir Ahmed, During Ayub Khan's tenure of 11 years economy grew at good rate but Bangali brothers felt the pace of development in East Pakistan was lower than West Pakistan. Ayub Khan imposed secular dictatorial constitution in 1962.After Ayub Khan left power another secular General Yahya Khan took over he conducted transparent elections in 1970. Regional parties like PPP of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto in West Pakistan and Awami league of Sheikh Mujeeb ur Rehman won Majority in East Pakistan,However Awami League won more seats and it had the right to form Government but Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto out of his greed for power did not accept mandate of Awami league, though some considered Sheikh Mujeeb's six points very objectionable but Bhutto came up with a even more objectionable stipulation that there should be Two Prime Ministers Sheikh Mujeeb for East Pakistan and Bhutto for West Pakistan, Bhutto's famous quote was  ''Udhar tum idhar hum'' ( you there we here) .Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's PPP was a secular party which only contested elections from West Pakistan and Bhutto spewed racial hatred against Bangalis called Bangalis pigs . threatened his party members by saying who ever goes to Dhaka to attend session of the Parliament I will break his legs. Already the sentiments in East Pakistan were bitter and the Political crisis which emerged after the 1970 General elections added fuel to fire, Separatists got stronger and Pakistan Army launched military operation in East Pakistan, later on India invaded East Pakistan. Pakistan Army lost the war for various reasons and consequently Dhaka fell on 16 December 1971 and now former East Pakistan is Bangladesh.
41 years on there are lots of conflicting stories about that sad event in our history, India and Bangladeshi Government accuses Pakistan army of committing genocide during 1971 war, Based on Indian propaganda the former communist and current secular pseudo-intellectuals in our country (who are known for there pro-Indian stance and opposition to Two nation theory on basis of which Pakistan was founded) also accuse Pakistan army of sexually abusing thousands of Bangali women and killing millions of Bangalis without any substantial evidence from neutral source, I don't deny that Pakistan army did not kill any innocent Bangalis or no woman was raped but the accusations of that happening at mass level are based on Indian propaganda. Now its very unfair to expect a fair opinion about Pakistan Army from India.Secondly the people who present this narrative as historical fact in Pakistan fakeness of there sympathy for Bangalis is very evident because they not only accuse Pakistan army of Committing genocide they also accuse Bangalis who fought for Pakistan and supported Pakistan of committing war crimes against Bangalis like Al Badar and Al Shams Jihadi groups which were made by Jamaat e Islami and Islami Jamiat e Talaba, Now before coming up with criminally false accusations out of there hatred for Jamaat e Islami they forget that those who made Al Badar and Al Shams and fought for Pakistan against Mukti Bani and invading Indian Army were also Bangali, They had the same blood in there veins. Jamaat e Islami was the only major party which contested elections from both East and West Pakistan because its pan-Islamic organization unlike parties which won the election it was void of racism and regional nationalism. It was Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh that made Al Badar and Al Shams its workers fought for Pakistan's defence against Mukti Bani and Indian Army and sacrificed thousands of lives for Pakistan, To what extent Pakistan oppressed Bangalis is debate able but there is no doubt that we have committed such an injustice with Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh of which there is no example in modern history, The Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh was a unifying force they were Bangalis who loved Pakistan more than us, first they fought literally till last drop of there blood for Pakistan and after creation of Bangladesh for 41 years they are being persecuted for supporting Pakistan in 1971, But political and ideological opponents of Jamaat e Islami in Pakistan who are dominant in the media and who have done nothing for this country(apart from ruling, looting and ruining) rather than honouring and appreciating those Bangalis who made unmatched sacrifices for Pakistan salt there wounds by falsely accusing them of crimes which they never committed. On the other side same people and hypocritical media of Pakistan made power hungry champagne socialist and cruel ruler Bhutto Shaheed with propaganda, The one who fuelled hatred against Bangalis out of his arrogance and lust for power,Drunk Generals and all those who were responsible for tragedy of december 16 1971 in Pakistan were not trialled but 40 years later those who supported Pakistan in Bangladesh are facing biased tribunals and political victiminzation for supporting Pakistan in 1971 which could end with execution of Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh leadership.

Once a leader of Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh was asked by a Pakistani in Dhaka ''what do you feel about  yourself in Bangladesh?JI leader replied ''we live in Bangladesh but we are not considered Bangladeshi we are Pakistani but we need Visa to go there'' that really sums up.
looking at the plight of Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh and how they are criminally maligned in Pakistan for supporting Pakistan I wonder weather Pakistan deserves honest and selfless patriots who have the courage to sacrifice everything for this country because we don't treat them well, some people may not like these words but the fact is we are a corrupt nation that is why corruption, lies and hypocrisy rules in Pakistan.

As non-prejudice patriots its our responsibility to own and honour those who have made sacrifices for Pakistan regardless of there religion, race or Political affiliation other wise we deserve the sold souls at the helm of power.

I as a Pakistani apologise to Jamaat e Islami Bangladesh and to all those Bangalis who supported Pakistan please pardon us we don't deserve patriots like you.
